What could be more enjoyable for Valentine’s Day than an evening visit to the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum® in Oklahoma City? This unique celebration is the Valentine’s Dinner and Dance hosted by Dining on Persimmon Hill, the Museum’s full-service restaurant known for its daily lunch offerings. This is the ninth year the restaurant has hosted this special evening event.
From 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. Saturday, February 13, guests can enjoy a buffet and reserved, private seating in the Museum’s Sam Noble Special Events Center, a grand room accented by Wilson Hurley’s majestic landscape paintings. Dinner will be followed by recorded dance music in the events center. Guests can enjoy their reserved table for the entire evening and view the Museum galleries, including the temporary exhibitions:
“The Guitar: Art, Artists and Artisans”
“The Jackie L. Coles Collection: Selected Works”
“When Animals Attack? Humorous Hunting Tableaux” and
“Bonita Wa Wa Calachaw Nuñez: Selected Works”
“This Valentine’s Dinner Dance is popular with our restaurant regulars and Museum members, and each year attracts new guests,” said Mary Beth Hardy, Dining on Persimmon Hill owner. “A mix of couples, friends, small groups and families find this a wonderful way to connect with each other for Valentine’s Day.”
The Valentine’s Dinner Dance is $39.95 per person plus tax and gratuity. Ice tea and coffee are included with the meal. Champagne and wine may be purchased.
Reservations are required and can be made by calling (405) 478-2250, Ext. 281.
